Management and Technology Mortar for your Open Source Systems
MooseTrout.com has been the online home of Brian Jorgensen, an open source web application programmer and integrator, since 1998.
I have been an open source web programmer since 1996; I have specialized in providing open source web application programming, development and support to the university and library communities since 1999.
I have experience with perl, java, and php. One of my special interests is designing strategies and processes to allow for highly customized, yet highly maintainable, local versions of upstream open source projects.
MooseTrout's motto is "Management and Technology Mortar for your Open Source Systems". This alludes to the growing need to create seamless integrations between online applications in order to allow users and data to flow between disparate open source products. It also alludes to my expertise in explaining to IT managers how to structure work and relationships with open source communities.
For further details about my experience with Moodle, Elgg, Sakai, the library community, or to request further information about how I can help your organization mitigate risk by increasing your participation in an open source community, please check the links above.
